Weekend 1/18/13

What a weekend! I love long holiday weekends. We had so much fun this weekend.

Last week I received an email from Kiddie Kandids for $50 in free pictures so I decided to make an appointment since we would have both of the kids. It was a mess when we got there. The family that was waiting in front of us had been there for an hour. Luckily we didn't have to wait that long. But I'm pretty sure the girl who took our pictures was on something. She took our pictures and as soon as we were done and we were packing up our stuff she asked if we had an appointment. When I explained that she had just taken our pictures she asked our name and said she lost our paper. She finally realized she had just barely taken our pictures and had to go up front to get the paper. When she came back after asking again if we had an appointment she said it would take her fifteen minutes to enhance the pictures and asked if we had anywhere we needed to go while she was doing that. So we went to lunch.

We went to Wingers and I got the wing lunch with naked wings which are just wings without the breading. When the waitress brought out my meal she told me that they didn't put sauce on my wings but there was sauce on the table I could put on them. I was so shocked at the customer service or should I say the lack there of. I would think if you get an order wrong you fix it you don't just tell the customer they can fix it themselves. Lol!

Anyway... Back to Kiddie Kandids we went. We were greeted by the lady who took the kids pictures again with a "Do you have an appointment?" I told her she just took their pictures and we were there to pick out what we wanted. She tried to sell us a CD of the images for $80 which we declined and then she turned us over to another girl to order our pictures. I'm really glad we got some cute pictures and I'm really glad we got some for free lol.

A few other things that happened this weekend.

Chris decided to loosen the jar of salsa before he shook it... I think we will be finding salsa spots around the kitchen for a while.

While watching the Biggest Loser Brooklyn got really emotional when they sent someone home and she told us that we needed to change the channel because it was too sad. It was so sweet I had to cover my head so she couldn't tell I was laughing. I didn't want her to think we were laughing at her it was just so sweet.

We played Candyland and my danced and sang and watched the Barbie princess movie (shoot me). All in all it was a fantastic weekend.

It was so hard to get up and leave my sweet boy this morning who was screaming for me. I pray that someday I won't be the one leaving...

Christmas 2012

Christmas is SO MUCH MORE FUN with KIDS!

This year we had Brooklyn for the second half of Christmas vacation so we got to sleep in on Christmas morning which was great since we were up late the night before making cinnamon rolls. (Well... I made the cinnamon rolls and Chris just stayed up with me lol)

It was so fun to watch both of the kids open all of their gifts and get so excited about their new things. It was wonderful being able to spend time with all of our families. I love the Christmas season. And to top everything off we even got a white Christmas :)

My silly boys.

Brooklyn was so excited for her onesie jammies.

Having fun at Mimi and Grandpa's.

The cutest kids ever!
