Water Weekend

Sometimes coming up with a title for a post is not my favorite thing.

This weekend was lots of fun we went to Seven Peaks in Salt Lake which while it's not as big as Seven Peaks in Provo it was a lot less crowded. We got to swim around in the lazy river and didn't have to worry about being smashed into the wall or kicked in the face. If you've been to Seven Peaks in Provo you know those are both very real concerns. I also highly recommend getting Passes of all Passes. Even if you pay full price for the Passes if you go to the water park twice you've basically paid for the pass.... totally worth it. My favorite thing about having the passes is we can go to the water park for a couple of hours and not have to stay all day to feel like we got our money's worth.... it's awesome.

After the water park we went on a hunt for some supplies we needed for fathers day.... but didn't find what we needed.... booooo. I swear Hobby Lobby knows when I'm coming and they make sure they don't have what I need (haha not really).

That night we had to go to Walmart before we went home to get a few things before Sunday and the funniest thing happened...

Gavin hasn't had a binky for a month or longer but still occasionally will ask for one. The way he asks it's almost like he knows he's not going to be given one but he still asks. Well on Saturday at Walmart Gavin spotted a binky that had been lost by someone all of the sudden Gavin pulls me over and says "Mom look! Someone lost their binky." I said "Oh no! Someone did lose their binky. Lets go." His response? "Let's go pick it up." I had to explain that it was dirty and belonged to someone else so we couldn't just take it. I'm so glad he didn't just pick it up and put it in his mouth without talking to me ha ha.
After Brooklyn was playing in her dress Gavin wanted to put it on too. Lol Dad doesn't so much appreciate it but I'm sure future girlfriends will love it haha!

Sunday we visited Bridal Veil Falls again and this time Grandma and Josh came too. When we asked Brooklyn what she liked most about the waterfall she said "Chasing Josh with bugs." She is such a funny girl. She spent the whole time looking for potato bugs and even found a lady bug. I'm pretty sure had it been any other bug and she would have been running away too.

A few extras ...

My business cards came! It's crazy to think I've only been running a business for a few months. I'm continually learning and growing and I love it. I've never been so excited to do something in my life (besides having kids)
Chris made shish kabobs this past week they were looking and smelling sooo good and then he came in for a minute and they ended up getting burned. Poor Chris was so upset. I'm sure they'll be better next time :)

Gavin loves his sister so much. He can't leave her alone when she comes.
Yesterday was such a beautiful day! Getting up in the morning can be so hard sometimes but it is so worth it when I actually do it.

She's a SuperSTAR!

Brooklyn had a dance recital this weekend and she did such a good job. We were all so proud of her. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is a beautiful little munchkin.

Brooklyn and her cute little sister.
I just have one recommendation for the dance studio.. maybe have a special program for just the little kids because their competition teams had a lot of dances and I really just wanted to see Brooklyn dance. I can understand having all of the kids dance together if you want the younger dancers see how good the more advanced teams are but the kids didn't even get to watch the performance.

Sunday we went for a little drive up Provo canyon and stopped at Bridal Veil Falls. It was so pretty. I hadn't ever been there at least not that I could remember. Gavin loved it too. There were tons of people and Gavin had as much fun seeing the duck and all the dogs people brought as he did seeing the waterfall.

Oh and I almost forgot! Grandma Draudt's birthday was on Friday and Matthew put together a little get together for her.... we brought the cake of course.

 Happy Birthday Grandma!
