Comic Con

We decided to take Gavin with us to Comic Con this year... thankfully it turned out to be a good decision. Gavin was so excited to go dressed at Spiderman. We had lots of fun seeing all of the people dressed up. Seeing Spiderman and all of the Storm Troopers were definitely a highlight of the trip.

Goodbye Webelos

Chris got a new church calling to work with the Young Men/ Boy Scouts. Unfortunately this means we no longer work with the Cub Scouts. All of the boys we had were pretty awesome and we all (the scouts, parents and us) worked so hard to make sure everyone got their awards. Here are a few of the pictures from our last couple of months as leaders.

The Ghostbusters came to pack meeting and Gavin thought it was awesome!

We will miss working with the Cub Scouts and hope they continue to do well. Gavin definitely misses having the boys come over and will be so excited when he is old enough to be in scouts.

Sister Draudt is Home!

In December Andrea came home from her mission. This was my first time picking up a missionary from the airport... it was pretty exciting. Her plane was 2 hours late (I think that's what it was) and we were pretty early. That many hours at the airport with kids (hungry kids) is not my favorite thing. It seems like the year and a half that she was gone went by so fast but when I look back at how little all of the kids were when she left it blows my mind. I think being a parent makes time go even faster.

These cousins are so cute together.

Baby Draudt Coming June 2015

Right before we left for our California trip we found out we're expecting. We are beyond excited and are so grateful our prayers (and those of others) have been answered. We had been trying for over a year and a half, tried clomid, been tested and lots of 'stuff' and I was starting to give up. I wasn't on anything and by some miracle we were able to get pregnant. The baby doctor said it's fairly normal for that to happen it's almost like the clomid jump starts your system or something so even though you're not on anything you ovulate better or something like that.
Things so far have been a little different this go around. Morning sickness was way worse this time and lasted longer than it did when I was pregnant with Gavin. I also bled a few times which led to one trip to the doctor and another trip to the hospital. We decided to wait until just before Christmas to surprise our families with the news. It was hard to keep the secret and I'm pretty sure I almost gave it away a few times. Chris and Brooklyn both want the baby to be a boy and Gavin is convinced it's a girl. Because he is always calling it's a girl I keep calling the baby a her. It's probably going to be super confusing is Baby doesn't turn out to be a girl. We will be super excited either way. Gavin decided we're going to call her/him Baby Sweetie so that's what we've been calling Baby Draudt. Gavin was confused when we first told them we are expecting. Brooklyn said something to him about a the baby in my tummy and he said "Yeah that's me!" ha ha it was so sweet. He now understands a little better and likes to kiss Baby Sweetie and talk to him/her through my belly button. :) We find out next week if Baby Sweetie is a boy or a girl and we are all super excited!

We gave the grandparents these super cute ornaments/magnets to announce Baby Sweetie.

Christmas 2014

We had Brooklyn for the second half of Christmas break so we got to celebrate Christmas twice! Lucky us!

The only thing Gavin asked for was a "Hulk Smash costume" and the only thing Brooklyn asked for was an ipad. I think Santa did a pretty good job delivering this year.
( I had horrible morning sickness around Christmas so I wasn't super on top of pictures this year.)
