Easter 2.0

We had Easter at Mimi and Grandpa's house this weekend. We all got Easter "baskets" (not all of them were actual baskets). The kids had an indoor Easter Egg hunt. We went bowling at Boondocks and we even made some chocolate treats mmmm. Thank you Mimi and Grandpa for the fun weekend.

Brooklyn was such a good bowler. She bowled all by herself and pretty much kept up with the rest of us. I was so impressed.

There were so many distractions at Boondocks. Grandpa was nice enough to walk Gavin around when other people were taking their turns bowling.
Gavin almost beat everyone. Daddy bowled two strikes on his last turn to pull ahead.

Everyone got to play a few games too. It was lots of fun.
Making chocolate and pretzel birds nests.... and chocolate covered marshmallows. They didn't look quite as cute as they do on pinterest but I don't think the kids minded.

Plus some pictures from Church while we were waiting for Daddy. These kids are so cute. Brooklyn was so excited to wear the necklace Mimi gave her.

Dressed to Impress

I love this little boy so much. I can't believe I used to think little boys were just destructive and would pee on things.... they can be dirty and destructive but they are so much more. Gavin is loving and sweet and funny and caring and just wonderful. Little boys are awesome!

AH-CHOO!

Gavin is such a ladies man and I don't look forward to him dating when he gets older haha. He is definitely going to be a heart breaker. The other day on our drive down the street his window was open and we were stopped at a red light and a girl walked past our car and he yelled out the window "Hey girl". I tried to laugh quietly and had to let him know we don't yell at people from the car. ... I don't know what I did before this sweet guy.

Easter Weekend

I feel like I haven't had much to post about. We've been living life and I've been trying to start my cake business.  So.... between work and cakes and kids things have just been busy. Gavin is getting so big and talking so much. I love it.

I think everything is more fun with kids but especially holidays.

We went to a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt on Saturday and Gavin loved it. I think he stepped over more eggs then he actually picked up but he loved it all the same.

After running some errands we checked out the little kids hockey skates at play it again. Chris was ready to get them right there. I decided we need to find some used or on clearance since little feet grow fast.

I love this picture... I think it's so funny.
Sunday the Easter Bunny came!

Gavin would have eaten all his candy right then if I would have let him.
We all got ready for church and Gavin wore his new Easter outfit.... I'm going to post those pictures later.

Gavin loves going to church and going to nursery. He used to have such a hard time going to nursery and I'm so grateful that he loves it now. He always wants to "go play'th the kids" it's awesome.

Sunday evening we went to Grandma and Grandpa Draudt's house for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt. Grandma was so nice to plan a hunt for the kids. I think it's so funny the kids had to have the egg pointed out to them in order for them to pick them up.... it was pretty funny. These cousins are so cute together.

Last night laying in bed Gavin started talking and singing to himself. It was seriously so cute hearing him singing and counting to himself. I think he had too much sugar and had a hard time going to sleep.
And just to join the bandwagon....

Because of Him I get these two forever. I am so grateful for my Savior and His sacrifice for me.

How Could I Forget?

Kind of random but I forgot to post this yesterday. On Sunday before General Conference started we were watching The Spoken Word and Gavin said "I like this song." Then as soon as Lloyd Newell came on the screen Gavin said "Like Baka". I got a good laugh at that. I asked him if he looks like Grandpa and he said "Yes, like Baka."

Gavin also loves to take pictures. He has been carrying around Brooklyn's camera and tells people to smile.... we have lots of blurry pictures of the floor. I hope I never forget the sweet things he does.

Baby Chickens

We have been to see the "baby chickens" and ducks twice. They are so cute. I just want to hold those little duckies.Gavin also loved seeing the bunnies. He just wants to hold them and who can blame him... they looks like such soft little fluff balls.

Chris's band (Tri Polar Bear) had a show Friday night at BYU. My parents, Gavin and I all went. It was fun for Gavin to see Daddy play a show. I have a feeling we are going to be in big trouble when Gavin get older... he is such a big flirt. There were a couple girls at the show and Gavin went over and talked to them and sat next to them and really just flirted with them until we left to go home.

Gavin loves Cosmo and BYU

Saturday we spent at Mimi and Baka's house so Chris and Baka could go shoot their guns. Chris had lots of fun and was surprised at how his Grandpas gun shot so easy he said it felt like a cap gun. While they were gone and during conference I worked on the baby cake pops. They turned out so cute. Cake pops are definitely a favorite.

I am taking a cake class on Wednesday and I'm excited but also super nervous. I just worry that I will do things differently or "wrong" or won't know what's going on. So hopefully everything goes well with that tomorrow!

Mmmm Jdawgs.

Mimi Had A Birthday!

Mimi's birthday was on Saturday. I made her a super cute cake... I'm still waiting to get pictures back so I can post them. Anyway.... we headed up pretty early to spend the day with Mimi and Grandpa. We hung out at Mimi's house for a while and then went to Salt Lake to see the Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit at the Leonardo. It was pretty awesome but I definitely recommend not going on a Saturday it was so busy and there is so much information in the exhibit it would have been nice to be able to go at your own pace.... and not have to wait for the super slow readers in front of us haha.

We then headed to City Creek for lunch and then to the Conference Center for the Women's General Meeting. It was pretty much awesome. I was a little worried about how little eight year old girls would be sitting still for 2 hours. I thought they did a great job and broke things up so it was easier for them to sit and keep their attention. It also helped that it didn't end up lasting two hours. I'm so glad I was able to go with my sister and my Mom. I love them both :)

After hung around City Creek for a while before heading home.
Gavin slept like this the whole time we (girls) were gone to the Women's Conference. I love it.

We had some late cake and ice cream before heading home.

Happy Birthday Mimi we sure are lucky to have you. Love you lots and lots and LOTS!!!
