Brooklyn the Preschool Graduate!

5/16/2012

Brooklyn Graduated Preschool! I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is such an amazing girl!

She is such a big sister. We were a little worried how things would go with everyone at her preschool graduation but it was just great! Brooklyn wanted everyone to see her baby brother Gavin and made sure her little sister Lilly got to see and tickle Gavin. She is such a proud big sister.

Brooklyn's graduation was definitely entertaining. I'll have to post a video later. We got to take Brooklyn out to dinner that night and Grandma and Grandpa gave her some new hair clips and we gave her some makeup. Brookyln LOVES makeup.

I just wanted to make note a a few cute funny things Brooklyn  has done lately...

Her little brother Greyden has red hair and we were talking about it and Brooklyn told me "No he has grey hair." After going back and forth for a little bit I told her that only old people have grey hair. She thought about this for a minute and she said "Grandpa is old" and I said yes and he has grey hair. She then said "What about Grandma? She has yellow hair." I had to explain that Grandma dyes her hair. Brooklyn informed me that she doesn't dye her hair.

I also got a text from Brooklyn's mom the other day telling me that Brooklyn told her she was so sad I cut my hair because she wants me to have long beautiful hair like her. It's funny how often she bring up the fact that I cut my hair. I wouldn't have thought she would even care.

We were walking in the mall a few months ago and I jokingly told Brooklyn we should get her hair cut. She didn't like that idea so I told her we should put pink in her hair. She was all for that. I told her I was joking and that we probably shouldn't do anything to her hair without her mom's permission and she told me "It's okay, you can do whatever you want to my hair. My mom doesn't care. You can put pink in my hair."

Oh Brooklyn Brooklyn... you bring such joy to our lives :)

Play Dates!

Play dates are so much fun. Especially now that Gavin can interact a little more with other kids. Even if most of that interaction involves trying to pull out each others binky's.

Last Saturday Gavin and I went to the park with our friend Paige, her sister and her son. They are such cute boys!
Gavin was attacking Rafe.

Friends!

First time on the swings. I think it was a hit!
Wednesday my friend Stacey and her son Oliver came to visit. They used to live in Utah but her husband is in the Army so she moved out of state to live with family while they're gone. We were so glad they stopped by for a visit while they were here.
You can't really tell from this picture but Gavin is bigger than Ollie and
Ollie is a month older than Gavin. I love my chunky boy :)

I want your binky!
