The Invisible Bench

Friday we had a camp out with the scouts and their parents. What a fun pack meeting! I wasn't sure if any of our scouts were actually coming. I was so excited when all but one of them was able to come. We had a flag ceremony and our Webelos helped with the flag and they did an awesome job.

One of our boys got his Citizen pin and belt loop and another one of our scouts got his Webelos award. So awesome!

Gavin sat down in this patch of grass all by himself. He usually avoids the grass so it was pretty funny when it happened.

Someone was exhausted. He had so much fun with the boys.
The boys also did their skit.. it was called The Invisible Bench. These boys are so funny. We had some issues when we were practicing the skit at den meeting but it all came together at the pack meeting.

"What are you guys doing?... Sitting on an invisible bench... But I moved it this morning!" AHHHHH
It was also a great chance to for us to get to know our boys parents. I am so glad all of our scout parents are so committed to helping their boys succeed.

Saturday evening Grandpa Carrell took us out to dinner and then out for Gelato at the cutest place in downtown Salt Lake Dolcetti Gelato. It was all delicious! If you're in the area you should definitely stop by for a taste!
The awesome chandelier at Dolcetti Gelato
Such a fun coffee table.
Our air conditioner had some problems and we finally got it fixed yesterday afternoon but living without air conditioning for a couple days is draining. Our house was sooo hot. And Chris, while cleaning out the air conditioner, cut his finger on the rusty air conditioner so he had to get a tetanus shot too. Goodbye money lol.

Monday night we got together with all of the Draudt's for Grandpa's birthday. We went to Chili's and Grandma and Grandpa treated us all which was so sweet of them. I wish I would have gotten pictures but I didn't.... Fail.  Good thing we'll see them this weekend for Chris's birthday and I can get pictures then. July is definitely the birthday month!
Saturday Amanda had her hair in a cute twist so Sunday we did Brooklyn's hair the same way. She loves her Aunt Amanda.
Gavin saw me taking Brooklyn's picture and wanted his picture taken too. He makes me laugh.

Eating animal crackers in the middle of the floor because he couldn't hold them all without dropping them so he gave up and ate them here. Not really sure why he insists on holding them all. Haha (And it was too hot in our house for clothes yesterday so Gavin was a naked baby)

  1. what a great weekend you had (not the air conditioner part) but the rest looks fun. You will need to show me how to do girls hair if I ever have a little girl, you are so amazing at it.
