We survived our first den meeting! Yay!!!
Our boy scouts are awesome!
This week our gathering activity was Ladder Ball. The boys were really good at taking turns and when it wasn't their turn they kept score for the other boys or would help untangle the strings. Gavin loved all of it.
We worked together to create a Code of Conduct to make sure we get as much out of den meeting as we can. The Code of Conduct the boys came up with includes the following:
- Be Respectful
- Have Fun
- No Fighting
- Be Responsible
- Listen
- Talk When it's Your Turn
- Do Your Best
- Pay Attention
- Be Helpful
- Teamwork
The list seemed a little long to me but those were the things the boys decided we should have in the code. We also asked that they bring their Scouting books with them every week and wear their uniform.
We were missing a few boys yesterday (some of them are out of town) but we look forward to having them all (hopefully) at den meeting next week.
We have lots of fun things in store and can't wait to get to work!
